We have been selling paintings and prints since 2003 and began specialising in pet portraits and paintings (hence the site name of Borderspetart)
In 2004 we moved into the Pop Art genre, mainly specialising in Hand painted canvas’ of Rock and Pop icons from both past and present.
Unlike the majority of similar sites our paintings are not simply printed and ‘coloured in’ to give the illusion of original artwork.
All of our paintings are hand drawn onto pre mounted canvas and are given 2-3 coats of paint before being finished with 2 coats of satin varnish for the ultimate protection.
The advantage of this is that no 2 paintings are identical. All have very subtle differences and is unique.
The canvas we use is deep edged (1.5 ins. thick) and the sides are painted to match the front. This allows the painting to be hung without the additional costs of framing.
